Minamcon ... 2nd stage Ok happpy people I got my courswork all finished so am going to write the next exciting installment in my blog!!! ^_^ hehe hurrah! (oh i forgot to mention in my last one ... at the disco me and Holly tied ourselves to 8 men ^_^ Yay!!!!!) OK so off we go with Saturdays story ... Food We got up around 9-ish, then me, Holly, Johan and Kishore ate wierd cheap food in the hotel for breakkie ... it wasn't too bad but not amazing ^_^ ... um ... not sure where the other guys were at that point ... hmm ... oh well ^_^ Pikachus Hehe me and Holly were wanding around and had nothing to do so called Johan and the others to ask where they were, and they were making origami Pikachus! So we wentr to join them as it sounded really random ... and yep it was! But actually really good fun!!! ... it took a while, but we all eventually had maken our Pikachus (although with the exception of Holly the rest of us slightly made them wrong so they all looked really wierd and drunk!!!) ... Johan's was made with a really pale yellow paper and wouldnt stand up so we decided it was dead ... and Sadegh's was evil as he decided to give it devil horns and fangs ... not entirly sure why but I didnt question him I just laughed ^^;; ... then we set up random scenes involving the pikachus and I now have loadssssssssss of pics of them!!! hehe ^_^ so random! Dealers room Um ... at some point during the day we went into the dealers room (actually we did a few times!!!!) ... I bought 3 REALLY cute Di Gi Charat posters, A Di Gi Charat folder thing ... a Ranma 1/2 mug (which had a really cute pic of Akane and P-chan on it) and a Cardcaptor Sakura pencil board ... They were all sooooo cute and good value too ^_^ ... Holly bought the same as me except she bought a Pita Ten folder instead of a Di Gi Charat one ^_^ There was loads of cool stuff in the dealers room that we didnt buy ... I was sooo impressed by some of the wallscrolls they had but I had told myself in advance I wasn't allowed to buy any wallscrolls!!! Oh oh oh and we met Otaku Emily and Otaku Tom ^_^ (ok that wont make sense to anyone but me and Holly ... oh well) Bring and Buy Room Ok I am no longer doing this in any kind of time-order as I dont have a clue when we did things, plus we did a lot more than once! ... ok so yeah .. the bring and buy room was so cool ^_^ ... we had to que to get in the first time but it was worth it ^_^ ... except the scary gofer man who was talking to us in the que ... ¬_¬ he was scary... anywayyyy... I managed to buy a REALLY cool Kaleido Star art book for only £1!!! i was soooooooooooo impressed!!!! ... and I bought a random manga book with a pretty pic on the from for only £2 ... but I havent had time to read it yet ... so I don't know if it is anygood ... hehe but yay cheapness ^_^ hehe!!! and they had the "special" box which people kept requesting ... which was just porn! Pish dodgey males! Art room There wasnt a lot in the art room ... but there were some REALLY nice resin figures ... in particular one of Eclaire and Lumier from Kiddy Grade ... it was soooooooooooooooo awesome ^_^ Ok thats all for now ... Miamicon ^_^ Ok finally it's time for the long-overdue minamicon post ^_^ Hurrah!!! Well ... ok ... um I'm not too sure how to structure this ... so I think I will put it in random headings ^_^ Getting there Well that was all abit hectic! First Kishore didn't get up until 9.10 (and we were meant to be at Victoria tube station at 9.30) so I paniked a little ... but it was aaaaaaalllllllllllll good and we ended up getting on the coach on time (ie me, Antony, Sadegh, Johan and Kishore) ... all except Mitul, who only managed to get onto it after Sadegh sweet talked the driver into stopping while Mitul was running after the coach ^^;; Then we were on our way ... and although it was a pretty long journey we finally got there! Hurrah!!! Registration and Random Food We went to out hotel, dumped out stuff and then went to register ^_^ Hurrah!!! We all got cool badges with our names on ... yay!!!! and Random free stuff!!!! Then we got hungry so walked around aimlessly ... and found a random pub to eat in! I had fish and chips ^_^ mmmm ... yummy! hehe. Then we mingled with people and met some really nice people which was so cool ^_^ Holly ^_______^ Yupyup then Holly arrived!!! Hurrah!!! I had to go and collect her from the train station, but since I didnt know where it was I made Sadegh take me ... and he had never met Holly before so was pretty scared by it all as we were so hyper and ... yeah us!!! Hehe then we went to meet the rest of the guys after she had registered and dumped her stuff, and it was so much fun ^_^ Hehe and we scared them all as we were wearing matching tart tops ans were soooooooo hyper!!!! In particular we scared all of Antony's friends from ... err ... Bourmouth I think it was ^_^ hehe!!! Then we ran into Otaku Chris (a guy we know who works for otaku.co.uk) and met some of his random mates including Skanky man (who was a guy who hadnt paid to come to the con and was just been skanky), Sonar Ping (who was random and we managed to traumatise ALOT), hat man (who was ... well ... a man in a hat!) and LAC dude (who was one of the guys who runs the LAC!) ... omg and some random man filmed us for a "documentary" ... pervert ¬_¬ ... so we just scared them alot ^_^ hehe! Anime Concert Party/Disco ^_^ That night there was the anime party and disco! Hurrah! That was so much fun ... we got free food, then watched some random people preforming (there were a few girls singing who were really good ... but unfortunatly this annoying man and girl dancing which went on for AGES and was soooo annoying T_T ... They put alot of effort in and a respect that but It was sooooooo long!) Anyways then it was the disco and we all just danced like such idiots!!!! The music was ... odd. Some of it was totally scary rubbish, but some was amazingly super tacky anime-ness ^_^ Yay! Particularly cool were the Goo theme song (where we all ended up doing a conga line) and the Utena, Excel Saga and Sailor moon theme songs(where we just sang really loud and danced like idiots even more! ^_^) Surprisingly all the Imperial College lot got up to dance, which I wasnt expecting ^_^ Hehe it was so fun! Although I think Antony might have beaten me and Holly to the award for 'most pilocky dance' ^^;; But it was so much fun! Barry!!!!! Ok so this section wont make sense to anyone apart from me and Holly, but we met Barry ^_^ and chased him around the foyer ^_^ hehe so much fun!!!!!!! Yay it was a right gay family reunion! Lesbians Oh yeah me and Holly managed to convince half the con we were lesbians ... just cos we were tied together and kept talking about sleeping with each other ¬_¬ Pish!!! Bed time ^_~ I slept with Holly, and thats all you need to know ^_- Um ... yep thats Friday done ^_^ Will write about Saturday and Sunday when I get time ^_^ Most likely over the weekend!!! FInally the weekend ^_^ Yay the weekend is finally here... and what a super demented week it has been! The weater has been sooooooooo cold so I have pretty much frozen everytime I went outside. Although it did snow alot which was super pretty ^_^ On Monday ... um ... nothing much happened then. Oh but I did do a lab inwhich I got to count flies and look at their phenotypes ¬_¬ ... not pleasent ... and I managed to get muself on an ether high _again_ ^^;; which was VERY amusing and scared EVERYONE in anime!!! Tuesday ... um ... no that wasn't exciting. Oh no wait it was! ... was it Tuesday? ... oh I don't know but I was feeling pretty down and so Ryo came round to make sure I was ok ... awwwwwwwwwww he was sooooooooo sweet ^________^ Wednedsay ... um ... oh we watched the bebop movie in anime ^_^ Yay I love that film... it's so funky ^^ (hmmm I have been using the word funky alot recently ... how odd...) Anyways yeah ... Thursday ... Um ... well we had a practical which lasted 3 hours and 40 mins (and half the group were still there when I left!!!) ... it wasn't very dull just tiring. And manky. We don't need to be given pieces of rabbit muscle to pull apart ... ewwwwwwww.... so mank. Friday I had to give a seminar, which wasn't too bad, and then after met up with John (Zoro) and he took me for coffee in the senior common room ... my-god-its-posh-in-there ... and the toilets!!! omg they have super nice toilets!!!!! ... damn those old people who have nice things ¬_¬ (hehe for those of you who dont know John is a PHD student) .... anyway yeah then Ryo joined us, and we just say chatting which was really cool. After anime a group of us went to Wagamama's (random japanese food place) which was sooooooooo much fun ... although it was 'pick on k-li day' ... so I got poked alot ... ¬_¬ ... but it was soooooooooo fun ^______^ ... hehe and Jo's boyfriend Ben came who had really funky looking red hair ^_^ ... I think he was scared by us anime people though ^^;; ... and JP seemed to have decided that he wasnts to turn me into a lesbian ... so rude ¬_¬. Sunday ^______^ Ok so this post is a few days late, but I'm going to blabber about Sunday cos it was sooooooooooooooooooooooo fun ^_^ Me and Ryo spent the day together, which we haven't done properly for a while due to evil uni making us work non-stop!!!!! But yay ok here is what we got up to (note: it's NOT dodgey so it is safe to read on!!!!!) Well we met at 12, then went for food at a random food place on G.Road (we have eaten in soooooo many places there now ... hehe ...) anyways, yeah, we went to that Texas lone star place and I had a really yummy burger!!!! Mmmmmmmm food ... I liked it there although it was a _little_ on the expensive side ... but oh well it's on G.Road so i couldnt expect anything cheap ^^;; Ok, yeah, so then we went to the Aquarium!!! Which was super super fun and we saw lots and lots of fish ^_^ They were all soooooooooo cool and cute, and I think Ryo thought it was quite amusing that I was so obsessed with the fish as he spent alot of the time laughing at me!!!! Hehe oh well ^_^ ... oh oh oh and I stroked a stingray thing! Which was sooooooo cool and funny!!... and we saw terrapins and sharks and clown fish and seahorses and these wierd transparent fish which were pretty cool, and yay I love the aquarium ^_^ After we went and sat by the River and ate warm woffles we bought from one of the random vendors... they were soooooooooo good and even though it was soooooo cold they were nice!!!! Then we went to an archade next to the aquarium ... or did we go there before the woffles?! ... I can't remember ... anyways we played a couple of games of air hockey and I was soooooo not impressed as Ryo hadn't warned me he was SUPER good at it!!!! He beat me 7-0 in the first game and 7-3 in the second!!!! And I don't often get beaten in that game, let alone by that much!!!! Ok so yeah ... then we went to starbucks for drink before heading back to mine (yes people you can still read on damnit!!!!) ... we were planning on watching a film or something, but my collection is _slightly_ not to Ryo's taste (ie I own chick flicks and shojou anime) so we decided to download something, and the only thing we could find which we both thought looked okay was the Xenosaga anime, so we set that off going. But the stupid thing decided to be sooooooooo slow; normally I can get an anime ep in 20 mins but it took 3 hours!!!!! ... so we just sat around chatting for that time, and pestering people on msn and it was soooooo funny as Ryo was trying to confuse Mr P using my msn ^_^ hehe. Yeah ... then when we realised Xenosaga was been sooooooooooo slow we decided to go and borrow a film off Kishore, and we wanted Laputa but he couldn't find it, so we borrowed Totoro instead. Ryo had to leave them though, as he had loads of c-work to do and it was already pretty late, so he left and I watched the film ... it was sooooooooooo cute ^____^ hehe yay chibi totoro is adorable and sooooooooooooooo random!!!! Um ... then I went to bed!!!!! haha Ok love you all and I'm going to shut up now!!!!!!! -k- xxx p.s. there are probably a million typos here but I can't be bothered to check it ... hehe enjoy ^_-
